In an ideal world where man and robots coexist, someone or something has destroyed the powerful Swiss robot Mont Blanc. Elsewhere a key figure in a robot rights group is murdered. The two incidents appear to be unrelated except for one very conspicuous clue - the bodies of both victims have been fashioned into some sort of bizarre collage complete with makeshift horns placed by the victims' heads. Interpol assigns robot detective Gesicht to this most strange and complex case - and he eventually discovers that he too, as one of the seven great robots of the world, is one of the targets.
Dans un monde idéal où l'homme et les robots coexistent, quelqu'un ou quelque chose a détruit le puissant robot suisse Mont Blanc. Ailleurs, une figure clé d'un groupe de défense des droits des robots est assassinée. Les deux incidents semblent être sans rapport, à l'exception d'un indice très visible - les corps des deux victimes ont été façonnés en une sorte de collage bizarre avec des cornes de fortune placées par la tête des victimes. Interpol assigne le robot détective Gesicht à ce cas des plus étranges et complexes - et il découvre finalement que lui aussi, en tant que l'un des sept grands robots du monde, est l'une des cibles.
