I have to say I'm disappointed. Lots of time setting up first the depressing backstory, and then the isekai abilities -- and barely touching on the other characters. I like the premise -- characters who straddle world boundaries are one of my favourite tropes, but at this point there's really no indication that anybody in this series will be someone that I'd either care about or be interested in watching.

Nice, saturated color palette, use of dramatic shading. Really nice eye art. Interesting backstory for our MC that's just a *little* too convenient, but hey; the kid's had a hard life. An isekai where the protagonist DOESN'T die. Which raises the question; is it an isekai, or is he a dimension/world traveller, like Sliders/Stargate? Not a bad origin story, but I'm curious where they can go with the show, as it doesn't really have a gimmick. Romcom isekai, maybe?

This is possibly the first cross isekai, I like other than restaurant to another world. The premise of bullied kid into a hero of two worlds. It kind of has a good story line though the video game tropes still run strong in these isekai animes.
