Third-year high school student Jirou Yakuin hoped to partner with Shiori Sakurazaka of the same class in the mandatory "Couple Practical" course. In this practical, students must demonstrate that they have the necessary skillset to live with a partner of the opposite sex while presenting a certain level of harmony to the video surveillance that grades them. 
Unfortunately, random chance put his slightly subdued self into the practical with the person polar opposite to him, the gyaru Akari Watanabe. Akari on the other hand hoped to be paired with her crush Minami Tenjin. 
Their hopes are doubly dashed when they find out that Shiori and Minami are assigned together. Thus, they reluctantly decide to cooperate to reach the top ten, which would give them the right to exchange partners if both couples agree. Jirou Yakuin, lycéen de troisième année, espérait s'associer à Shiori Sakurazaka de la même classe dans le cours obligatoire "Couple Pratique". Dans ce TP, les étudiants doivent démontrer qu'ils ont les compétences nécessaires pour vivre avec un partenaire du sexe opposé tout en présentant un certain niveau d'harmonie avec la vidéosurveillance qui les note. 
Malheureusement, le hasard a mis son moi légèrement modéré dans la pratique avec la personne opposée à lui, le gyaru Akari Watanabe. Akari, d'autre part, espérait être jumelée avec son béguin Minami Tenjin. 
Leurs espoirs sont doublement anéantis lorsqu'ils découvrent que Shiori et Minami sont assignés ensemble. Ainsi, ils décident à contrecœur de coopérer pour atteindre le top dix, ce qui leur donnerait le droit d'échanger des partenaires si les deux couples sont d'accord. À cette fin, Jirou vole le premier baiser d'Akari sans se rendre compte de ce qu'il a fait, tout en donnant un baiser d'adieu précipité...
