When their mother(the deity of rice, or the rice-god queen) was called back in haste to the celestial realm and no longer able to return to the earthly realm they search for her traces using Usa City (Oita Prefecture) as their base, and teleport to Hachiman shrines throughout Kyushu island. As they solve local problems, they learn about food, take part in cooking battles, and grow.

Lorsque leur mère (la déesse du riz, ou la reine-dieu du riz) fut rappelée précipitamment au royaume céleste et ne put plus revenir sur Terre, ils partirent à sa recherche, utilisant la ville d'Usa (préfecture d'Oita) comme base et se téléportant dans les sanctuaires Hachiman disséminés sur l'île de Kyushu. Pendant qu'ils résolvaient des problèmes locaux, ils se sont initiés à la cuisine, ont participé à des concours culinaires et grandirent.
