In the End centers on sulky teen, Kaito Niikura. He swears that no one understands him – not his dad, classmates, or friends. Then, Kaito has a chance encounter on a subway platform with a man who not only becomes infatuated with him, but is also one of Kaito’s high school teachers. Kaito begins to see Ren Ando as the first teacher that really cares about him, and he begins to believe that Ren may know him better than he knows himself. But Kaito’s father and Ren’s wife, Megumi, have something to say about that.
