This one did manage to intrigue me early with an interesting classical animation style and some heart to the characters. The show takes it's time establishing the premise, but does have some interesting humour at times. It's a bit plodding at times, but makes for an interesting slice of life sports show. | |||

Thirty years after Tatsuya and Kazuya Uesugi brought Meisei High School to their only appearance and championship at the National High School Baseball Championship, a pair of highly talented stepbrothers, Touma and Souichirou Tachibana, bring the possibility of a return to the Kōshien, as they learn of the Meisei High sports heritage of their fathers.

New school sports anime with that old school look. A generational leap in animation, music, etc. Has a *really* good look to it. Good writing and sense of comedy.
