Setting
Re:mote Girls is set in the 30's. 2030's to be exact. Earth is going through another depression. To combat this, entertainment has become the drug of the masses. Anything that takes people's mind off the bungling of the economy is an instant hit. In midst of this comes the Re:mote Girls.
Prior to this period a single corporation successfully not only manage to land a craft on the moon but also built a small scientific outpost on the moon. In response to the world governments all wanting a peice of the moon, the small coproration had personalle stay on the moon for 6 months then claimed them as citizens of the moon and declared indepent state. A state were their patents on their technologies were safe. A state which had their own bank which because of the apparent value of the moon, survived the one of several market crashes. In the end, the lunar bank ended up buying key assets to assure the lunar outpost survival.
In a bid to clean up the orbital debris, Lunar Corp push for a team to police earth and lunar orbits. At the time of this story, this where the Re:mote Girls come in.
Re:mote Girls
Re:mote Girls are a trio of apparently female pilots who operate robotic frames in called Re:motes. For alll intents and purposes, they seem to be nothing more than models for campaign for the corporation's dominance of orbital space. Just the thing for a public who has nothing else better to watch so it seems.
Gold
Known to the public as Aiyou or as her elemental table Au. Au is golden hair girl with standard build. As team leader, her personality commands control and calm. At times, she can also be anal.
Silver
Elegance is the word to sum Aggie or Ag. She is above height and slender in build. Many think of her as being born on the moon as her elemental symbol implies. She is very fond of high society and is idolized for her behavior.
Copper
Rough tomboy of a girl of short stature. She has a tendancy to shove angels out of the way to get to the action. She has an energetic can do attitude. She is known as Seiyu (Cu) for her elemental table designation though Aggie tends to call her Dura.
Copper: "Why you call me Dura?"
Silver: "Because there is no silver top batteries."
In reality, the trio are androids made by those who actually run Lunar Corp. The mysterious, Ambassador, who is actually the ambassador for the Federation, a group of aliens looking to include Earth in it's fold. Though most of the races feel Earth isn't ready yet due their politics and division. It is the corporation goal to bring humanity to the stars.
Unfortunely, events will change things forever.
Enter the evil aliens....
The Bad Guy(s)
Prince Lowzar
This alien prince has his eye on Earth. Actually he has his eye on upping his standing on his home world where it too is in a depression. In response, the royal family has turned into a baby farm, as each newborn, appleases the populace for a time from the bunglings of the government. All these children has bumped Prince Lowzar further and further from the throne.
He has been given the task to go to Earth where the Ambassador might be to try and get a loan. Too bad he runs a fowl with the re:mote Girls.
Prince Lowzar Advisor
Dry humour as he reminds Prince Lowzar of standing .. always further as time goes on.
Other cast
Kurogane - Ferrus
The Re:mote Girls carrier. The only part of the team without a humanoid body. Huge construct ship patterned off Macross battleship, Iron is big gun even though his personality is more like Marvin the paranoid robot.
Platinum
The obvious fifth member of Re:mote Girls though in general he/she nevers appears outside it's Re:mote frame. It drives the Re:mote Girls nuts trying to figure out who this mysterious member is.
The Reporter
An ace reporter who gets trapped up with the Re:mote girls. The networks and the government assign him to cover the ongoing story in a bid to get a peice of the corporation. The reporter is in a bid to uncover the truth. The Re:mote Girls are in a bid to keep their cover so they don't get demoted to a lesser task like beign forced to clean up space junk ... or becoming junk themselves.
The Ambassador
Always referred in the story but never really seen. Much like Charlie from Charlie's Angels. The ambassador is ridiculously rich in Galactic standards. A galactic Howard Hughes but that has it's problems that everyone wants a piece of him or his fortune. Actually Prince Lowzar's mission is to try and secure a loan from this elusive person for his world but screws it up when he runs into the re:mote girls.
The Plot
So in this atmosphere, Prince Lowzar challenges the Federation over Earth. Naturally the Re:more Girls end up being his natural enemy and the networks of several worlds end up covering the conflict. Earth's own governments (nad netowrks) seizing on the opportunity cover up Prince Lowzar's alieness and back the Corporation's fight against this self proclaimed Prince Ugly. The royal family presses Prince Lowzar into not mentioning their world nor his being an alien in fear of the Federation reprisal.
The Re:mote Girls are trapped as they can not let the world know they are androids nor the existance of the Federation. So begins the strange dance of politics and network ratings.
